The A Good Deed A Day Initiative is created to encourage our members to do a good deed a day in the spirit of creating a better world. The SSA is a value-based educational organisation and we would like to take the lead in starting a youth-led national movement of doing good from 2017 to 2018. One of the core values of the SSA is the Scout Promise where scouts promise to perform Duty to God, Duty to Self and Duty to Others. Doing a good deed a day exemplifies the Duty to Others of the Promise.
All primary and secondary school scouts will be given a “Do Good” kit and they are to engage their family members, classmates and friends to join them in doing a good deed a day. The kit would contain a record card, a uniform event badge, a pledge banner and 5 invitation cards. Our scouts will use the kit to encourage their family, friends and classmates to join them in doing good.
